Table to Table

A family project, nourishing our Chicago community

Our story

Hi, I'm Sofia Ly, a student at Trinity High School — and this is our family's project. My parents own LC Pho here in Chicago, and every night I'd watch good, home-cooked food get thrown away simply because it didn't sell that day. At the same time, I knew there were people in our own neighborhood going hungry. Seeing both of those things side by side didn't sit right with me, so I wanted to do something about it.

Table to Table started as a family effort: instead of tossing our restaurant's extra food at closing, we started packing it up and bringing it straight to people who need it. What began as a few extra containers has grown into a mission — run by our family, out of our own kitchen — to cut down food waste and make sure good food reaches the people who need it most.

How it works

1

Rescue
We pick up extra food from LC Pho at closing, before it ever hits the trash.

2

Pack
Food is safely packed and prepped for delivery the same night.

3

Share
We deliver it straight to neighbors and community members in need.
